In 2017 we decided to change our lives and cast away the 9 to 5 routine that had guided our lives for the past forty-some years. It was time to live life on our terms; this meant to travel, living, and experiencing this world as a participant rather than a spectator. We are married, have kids, grandkids, semi-retired, and love to travel. We started the baby boomer budget traveler blog to keep in touch with family and friends. We love that travel provides us the opportunity to step into the history and culture of countries that we had only dreamed about. Exotic foods, with their intense flavors, aromas whisk you away into a world of mouth-watering euphoria. If you let them, markets will transform you; they make you appreciate local culture, pull you into a life that, in most cases, is foreign to visitors. We want to invite you as our guest to come along with us as we travel this world. We will visit areas that are less touristy and truer to the local people that live here. You will find them friendly, helpful, and willing to make your experience memorable. We can explore many of the region's activities or sit back and appreciate the little things in this life.
